I'm ready to enhance & trust my intuition! What is Intuition University?

Jin Shin Jyutsu– a healing art form that’s easy and effective to do on yourself & the class on it that is coming to Vashon Island

Many years ago I was having back and neck issues.  I kept going to the chiropractor to sort it all out.  And it seemed like no matter how many times I went and got adjusted (or slept with a towel under my neck, or used back support in my car or changed the position of my chair at work) inevitably I had to return to the chiropractor for the same problem.  That’s when I discovered a healing practice that I still don’t live without today: Jin Shin Jyutsu.

PC: Thirteen.J

Hearing me complain about my neck a friend of mine asked me if I had tried Jin Shin Jyutsu (JSJ).  I had no idea what it was.  Before long, I started going to Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner regularly—to deal with my back and neck issues.  And guess what? I never went back to the chiropractor again.  That’s because within a handful (or less—I can’t remember exactly anymore!) of sessions my back and neck just stopped getting out of alignment.  They stayed in their proper places!

As you can imagine I’ve been a JSJ convert ever since.  But let me tell you the best thing about it: You can do it on yourself (in fact without being aware you already are).  No special attunement is needed.  All you need is your hands! For real.

I’ve spoken about it before—and shown you how each of your fingers relates to different emotions and organs– so something as simple as holding your fingers starts your healing.

But here is the one problem with Jin Shin Jyutsu, at least from the vantage point of where I live. This healing art form hasn’t really made it much to the West Coast of this country.  There are healers on the East Coast that practice it.  In fact, Hillery Woods Siatkwoski (the visiting practitioner from Pennsylvania I’m going to tell you about below!) got her training in a New Jersey hospital where nurses were being trained to use it on themselves and their patients!  But it’s hard to find a practitioner close to where I live.  There are just a couple in Seattle and none on my home island, Vashon.

Years ago when Jin Shin Jyutsu first rocked my world, the local practitioner to where I lived at the time (in Upstate New York) offered a short workshop—on how to use it for yourself. The knowledge that I gained at that workshop is still information that I use regularly.  That coupled with a book that I got on it that I keep in my nightstand and reference often.  I use it to look up the best positions to put my hand if I am feeling neck tension, or if I notice my energy lagging consistently at a certain time of the day, or if one or more of my family members is getting a cold, or my kids are out of sorts, or someone has a belly ache, or… You get the point.  I reference it all the time!

However, in my experience far better than a book is learning it from someone yourself.  It gives you more fodder for using it in your every day life. And the best news at all—if you live on Vashon Island or close to it— a visiting Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner, Hillery Woods Siatkowski, is offering a class on it coming up!  Like in less than a week: August 8thand 9th!

Here are the details:

So if you live around these parts, I HIGHLY recommend getting yourself to Hillery’s class.  If you don’t, I highly recommend either searching out a practitioner (there is nothing like laying on a table and having someone else take care of you), or getting the book yourself.
