Nectarine love in pics. Or how to enjoy the taste of summer all winter long.
|It’s nectarine day! Which I find so pretty. I’m preparing for our winter smoothies to have the taste of summer nectarines. Obviously you can probably figure out the steps on your own. But the colors are just so gorgeous, I couldn’t resist posting about it.
Step 1. Buy a case of nectarines from the local fruit vendor.
Step 2. Cut up!
Step 3. Lay in neat rows on cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Step 4. Repeat Step 3. Laying another piece of parchment paper between the layers.
Step 5. Lay cookie sheet in freezer for several hours to dry/freeze. (This ensures that your nectarines won’t stick together in a big clump. My husband taught me this.)
Step 6. (Not pictured!) Take nectarines out of freezer and drop into gallon size freezer bags.
Step 7. (Not pictured!) Enjoy the taste of summer all winter long.
