Patio furniture heavenly color bliss
|My husband might think I’m crazy, but at least he accepts this about me: I like things to match. I do. It matters to me. Not because I think others might care, but because it is pleasing to my eye. I also like color (lots of it) and fun pattern. It took my husband a while to understand this (and many tutorials on how to choose matching table napkins/placemats while setting the table) but seeing matching and complementary colors laid out together actually increases my happiness. Truly.
Last night I had a moment of bliss while setting the table when I saw and realized that we now had exactly four (left) of these fun flannel napkins my mom made me years ago. Exactly enough for the number of people in my family.
I also like variety.
I do weird things like have different duvets, pillowcases, napkins and placemats for different times of year. (I like to make these things too– but I’ll save that for another post.) I crave certain colors in certain seasons. And in a life of many similar days, having a different bedspread cover from one week to the next (or whenever I get to it) does add internal happy juice to me. No kidding.
I’ve been enjoying my ultimate in color matching happiness for about a month now because that’s how long it’s been since we got a brand new patio set, and I bought the outdoor throws and pillow to go with it. The kids and I spend virtually all day in our backyard in the summer. And we eat out there every dinner at least. So to say that this area gets used is putting it mildly.
And so, this is a post about my patio furniture! 😉 It kind of makes me chuckle to think so. Still, I love it, so I had to post about it. Is this boring or interesting to you? I can’t tell!
