Peruse my (get-to-happy) bookshelf
|I like to be happy. I’m naturally a pretty buoyant person. And I am also a tool monger. I always have been. I like to have tools in my pocket that I can apply to any and all situations in my life when the feeling turns from satisfied to not so satisfied. I do this because feeling happy and satisfied is my preferred state, I want to have tricks and tips to return there when I get off course.
I also feel that joyousness is our most natural internal state. I don’t mean that you might ALWAYS feel joyous. What I mean is when we are most in tune with our inner selves/ our highest being, this sublime feeling of bubbling joyousness is what takes over all.
But of course because life happens, we are not always even in touch with that part of ourselves. So I like to have my tools. I discovered a new book recently, which is what inspired this post in an indirect way. I’ll post about that later this month. (It requires a whole space of its own, it’s so great.) But for now I wanted you to know that you can peruse my bookshelf.
On the home page of my website, (This is just my blog!… I don’t mean, “just.” 😉 ) I have an image of my bookshelf. I call it “Aimée Recommends.” You can click on it always. Essentially it holds most, if not all of the books that I use and love. Ones that I either turn to for inspiration or have in the past, or ones I just think have really good tools in them. Perhaps I’ll start a tradition where I review one of these per month, just so you can get a flavor of them and when you might use it. There really are so many good books out there, that have great advice and tools, but it is hard sometimes to know where to start.
So if you’re interested you can start by ogling my online bookshelf. I made it for you. Although you have to click on each book to find out it’s subject matter, I’ve at least put them into categories: Intuition, Healing, Self-Growth (rife with tools here!), Abundance, Inspiration, Past Lives, Poetry (because I love it), Fiction (just a few of my faves).
If you’ve got a specific question, like, “I’m going through this, or experiencing this, or I want to know this. Can you tell me which one of these you would recommend?” You can leave a comment on this post, or send me a message through my website. I’ll do my best to respond. For even more precise instructions pertaining specifically to the details of your situation, you can always schedule a reading.
Much love,
Aimée
